Adding a bit more prose to the proceedings, we are joined by Will Conway. As part of Two Tales (the much loved sister of Two Poems) Will is reading his short story Transport, and a story by Ted Hughes called How the Cat Became.
We chatted to Will a little bit about the two stories and you can read all about it after the jump. Continue reading

Not too long ago, we held our inaugural literary event. It was a roaring success (even if I do say so myself) and we certainly had a few giggles. If you were there, well done. If you weren’t, shame on you, but not to worry. We’ve got something that will make it feel like you were almost there.
As a Christmas treat, we’re giving you the Annexe presents… Et Al PODCAST! Crafted by the talented Mr Nick Taylor, the podcast revisits some of the highlights from the night and has a ton of extra features. There are interviews with all the performers and a lovely soundtrack too.
Each performer is highlighted as a chapter so you can jump around if you like, though we think it works best in its entirety. Enjoy!

Today we present to you a tale by the brilliant Will Conway. A poet, a storyteller and all round fantastic chap. This story, though not for the easily squeamish, had everyone in Annexe HQ in stitches.
Potty Mouth – by Will Conway
My shoes squeak as I turn on my toes and step up to the urinal. The cleaner has clearly visited recently as it smells, not exactly fresh but chemically lemony. I unzip and as I look into the bowl I see that there are fresh ‘mints’ in there. Instead of the usual two pale, sickly mini hockey pucks there are three bright new yellow spheres.
“Hey, three balls!” I say for no reason other than to show myself that I pay attention to these minor details when no-one else does.
I instantly realise what I’ve said and how it could be taken. Mark from marketing emerges from a stall and passes me in the corner of my vision.
