BREAKING NEWS!

BREAKING NEWS! We’ve got a surprise addition to the Interrobang line-up!

Welcome to *! (Dingbang)! The Magic Moments Photobooth @ !? (Interrobang) festival

The Ladies of the Press* invite you to step up to the wonder that is “*! (read: Dingbang)”‘, a “human photobooth” and, erm, fantastical mincing machine where sparkly cardboard box meets DTP press, conjuring one-off prints from images you feed it. Imagine a Surrealist photobooth that has a mind of its own; have your photo taken by a suspicious looking assistant, show the booth some love and attention et voilà! some photos will come out…but we won’t guarantee it will be exactly what you think!

Following its debut at the ICA in October, we’re pleased to present a special appearance of our Magic Moments Photobooth at Interrobang festival.

The Late Review

We’re starting a new series here at Annexe. It is based on the book you love. Yes,  you. Out there. Reading this. Not just you either. It’s about all the books we love. Do you have a book that you pick up and revisit every so often? A classic that always comes to mind? We’d like you to share it with us and the world.

The Late Review is exactly that. A review of a book, not necessarily new (in fact probably not new) that really speaks to you. All it has to be is a couple of sentences on what the book is about and why you love it so much.

If you’d like to be one of our first reviewers, either drop us an email OR (far better) come along to our spoken word festival INTERROBANG on Saturday! The Annexe team will be flitting about with recorders ready to capture your review in crystal clear sound. If it’s not an awkwardly huge one, bring the book along as well. We’d love to get a snap of you holding it to accompany the review. Of course, there are Annexe gifts awaiting anyone who becomes a reviewer!

The Launch of Annexe Introducing

Perhaps you’ve heard that we’ve put together a little festival of spoken word, music, theatre and comedy. That’s fast approaching and is set to be a cracking event. Do come along.
What you may not have heard is that a highlight of the festival will be the launch party for our first in-print series, Annexe Introducing.

We have been, and still are, working with three writers to bring their incredible talent to the masses. To do so, we are publishing a selection of their work in beautifully designed (if we do say so ourselves) and expertly printed pamphlets.  Continue reading

Interrobang Festival

Image

Like a proud mum, we’re showing off our latest creation! Interrobang is our festival, put together alongside EKO and Alexander Audio, that will be heaving with head-turning spoken word, music and theatre. For a whole day and across all three floors of The Betsey Trotwood (Clerkenwell) we will be entertaining your literary senses.

We’ve got a bookmaking workshop, a whole slew of poets, a handful of brilliant storytellers, some of London’s finest bands and on top of all of that, Annexe will be launching a series of minibooks there. That’s right! our first proper book launch will be taking place at our first ever festival! It’s a lot to take in.

Read all about it at our dedicated site.
